Lawrence was born in Southwest Oklahoma at the Lawton Indian Hospital.  He grew up in Oklahoma and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.  He initially studied Architecture and Fine Art at the University of Oklahoma where he also participated in collegiate wrestling.

Lawrence has over thirty-five years experience in business development, economic development, executive management and general business consulting - primarily serving Tribes and Native American enterprises.   

He has aspired to be a writer and artist all his professional life and the formation of SpottedBird Publishing is the first step in realizing his lifelong dream.  With his wife and business partner Lanie Mae, they have launched the team effort of SpottedBird Publishing.

Lanie Mae Otong SpottedBird

Lanie Mae was born in North Cotabato Province on Mindinao Island in Southern Philippines.  She grew up in President Roxas municipality and graduated from University of Notre Dame in Kidapawan with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.

She arrived in the United States to realize her dream of becoming an American citizen and has aspired to own her own business here in the U. S. and back home in the Philippines.   She is also an aspiring poet and photographer who is working on her first book of poetry that will focus on life and love while sharing the culture of the Filipino people.  

She is collaborating with her husband on the first children's book project entitled "Maxx:  The Cat That Dreamed of Becoming a Child...and Became One."   She helped inspire the book and is contributing to the writing and content of the first of a series of children's books about Maxx.
